Nature at its most frank, kind and self-revelatory provides the starting point for each of Tracey Keller's playful paintings. Working with an aesthetic that varies from hyperrealism to her own brand of quirky impressionism, she creates comic and endearing portraits of animals. Born, raised and based in Queensland, Australia, Keller is a passionate adventurer and nature enthusiast - both above and below sea level, which has lead her into innumerable face to face encounters with her subjects. These experiences give each work a surprising degree of realism and intensity of definition. This ability to be at once lighthearted, mischievous, and evocative makes each of her paintings instantly engaging and endlessly enjoyable.
Tracey's foray into the art world commenced with a bang in 1999 when she had a sell-out debut solo show. She has guested in national television shows including The Today Show, Channel Nine and Totally Wild, and much critical acclaim for her work in frequent media reviews and interviews. Tracey works closely with many charities including and she has raised over $100,000 to date for these organisations. Tracey is rapidly gaining momentum on the national and international art scene and has private collections throughout Australia and in Japan, France, Scotland, UK, USA, Dubai , New York, Germany, Zurich, South Africa.
