On this particular morning I made my way to Bondi Beach at 4:30am in the hope of capturing a beautiful beach sunrise. I had already planned the composition so set up in the dark and waited for the light show which was to unfold. As light creeped into the sky my hope started to fade, the sky was too overcast to allow the morning colours to shine. Usually at this point I will walk away in frustration however on this particular morning decided to sit it out. As an hour past I noticed the way the waves were rolling in forming beautiful blue barrels against a subtle backlight sky... the time was right, I shot a few frames trying my best to time the waves. I was amazed at the atmosphere that this shot takes on and was reminded that patience can bring good things to those that are willing to wait.
