Inspiration

The painting brings up for me all my feelings of when I first fell in love. It was with a girl from another tribe. She was aboriginal and I was white. It wasn’t allowed. It celebrates the excitement of coming together. The walking tracks lead to different tribes, meeting places, trees, billabongs/Secret places. When the painting is turned to different angles, feelings of anger, sadness, joy, fear and acceptance of what is come up. I dedicate this painting to Julie.
