When the Billong tree comes into flower, this tells the Goori people that schools of fish are pushing North. Many camps are set up near the beach to take advantage of abundant seafood. These Gooris are tapping their spears on the water, and singing to the Dolphins at the same time. The Dolphins answer back by pushing a school of fish into ankle deep water, making it easy for the hunter to spear. This connection between man and Dolphin goes back thousands of years.
