Sea Memories

The inspiration for this painting comes from the few precious times that I took my young children to the sea - seaweed reaching out to grab their legs, baby octopi in the rock pools, sea urchin spines on the sand and a solitary sea star stranded and alone. Stepping on a sole hidden by the sand, catching fingerlings and toadies and watching sting rays go by and seeing a giant crab hanging off my dad’s toe are my childhood memories.
