This print is from an original painted using traditional 'x-ray' style, featuring Australian native plants and animals. The browns of the background are the colours of bark, representing the traditional surface for painting. The red ochre and yellow ochre represent the earth, the link to land and to place. The white spattering represents the bones of the ancestors in whose honour this painting is done.
