David Harasti Bio
Dave Harasti is a marine scientist who has been working on threatened marine species for the past 8 years and now currently works for NSW Fisheries.
Dave spends much of his time working on the conservation of grey nurse sharks and seahorses.
He has been diving for 10 years and in that time he has developed a passion for marine life and underwater photography.
His photography has been internationally recognised and he has won all the major underwater photography competitions in Australia. These include the Australasian Digital Photographer of the Year 2003, the Australasian Digital Download 2004, Dive OZ Digital Shootout 2004 and the 2005 OZTek Underwater Photo Competition.
Dave's digital underwater system of choice is a Nikon Coolpix 8400 in an Ikelite housing with dual Ikelite DS125 strobes.
