Graham Colton

I began initially by drawing with coloured pencil on paper. Some of my earlier pieces were 400x 600mm. These could take weeks to complete.

I moved onto teaching myself how to use a computer and began by using Microsoft Publisher to draw some characters for a children’s book I was writing (as yet unpublished).

It took me a lot of time and energy to work out how to draw those characters working with the basic shapes and other drawing options that MS Publisher offered.

Such things have ways of gathering their own momentum.

What you see in my Retrospect profile is the result of that initial desire to write that story.
I'm more than happy with how things have turned out.

I have recently moved onto drawing much larger pieces, 1200mm x 800mm and using illustrator and Photoshop and nothing else to digitally render my work.
I have been very happy with what I have been able to create with these two programs.

Because all my art is now digitally drawn it is easily reproduced by the printing processes offered by Retrospect.
