Karen Williamson Bio
Karen Wiliiamson was born in California U.S.A and arrived in Australia in 1973. Karen was based in Sydney where she spent 15 years part of which involved sailing and joined a camera club and it was there she discovered her passion for photography. She then travelled to Birdsville, Uluru, Broken Hill and along the east coast of Australia. Karens first step was into greeting cards and enlarged prints which were marketed through outlets in Sydney.
In 1998 karen wanted to explore something different so she arrived at Lady Maquarie's Chair Botanic Gardens, Sydney, a Prime location for viewing New Year's Fireworks display. This was the start of a ten year plan to capture the fireworks New Year's Eve. Karen's subjects also include lighthouses and sunsets. Karen has also produced a book capturing Sydney scenes and the outback.
