Originally from Hawaii and currently based in the Pacific Northwest, her work often references the trappings of a bohemian upbringing, combining sartorial escapism, teenage psychedelia, and her own family tree. Jan Van Dijk shows extensively in Brisbane, Sydney and now Byron Bay. He has just released his artist book 'Jan Van Dijk: A Reverse Chronology 2008 - 2006' and is included in many significant collections. From solo exhibitions based on aerial photos of urban landscapes to the haunting beauty of Wonder Wheels, his subject choices are broad, but the execution is acute, and always exciting.

A gallery favourite, we all have an 'art crush' on Jan and his wonderful thick oil paints. His most recent works focused on myth and this fabulous series of myth jockeys were so evocative and appropriate in this time of economic mythology that we had to release them as a series of three prints.

James Looker and Xavier Rudd

James is a self taught photographer, born and raised on the south coast of Australia. With no formal training, he draws inspiration from the world around him, using a variety of techniques to create and capture images. His work takes him to all corners of the world allowing him to gather insight to cultures, life and people in distant places. His greatest accomplishment to date is his limited edition 70 page photo-journal of life on the road with roots musician, Xavier Rudd. Documenting the sights on the road as well a close intimate view of recording, touring and playing music. 

This fantastic set of prints is handsigned by both James and Xavier, a unique collaberation that sees a seamless blend of photography and song lyrics, landscape and emotion. We released this fantastic set of three prints for Jame's solo show at Easter when Xavier played at the Blues and Roots Festical in Byron Bay.

These prints rightly sold like wildfire and there are only about 10 sets yet, for those of you who have not purchased them yet do not delay. Each set of prints comes with an original certificate of authenticity from James Looker.

James McMillan doesn't like rules; never has. It was one of the reasons why he quit the Quiksilver surf and snow tour not long after being ranked 7th in the world. "I like being creative, and the creative spirit is all about freedom and no rules! It's about being a kid. I like the chaos of 10 ideas at once and then the structure of producing just one. It's a nice balance of chaos and peace!"
Apart from his University studies on the Surrealist movement of the 20's-60's and a Visual Art degree, James is a self-taught painter living in Byron Bay.

James' paintings combine multi layers of acrylics, spraypaint and ink, juxtaposing them with his own surreal and sometimes moody interpretations of life. Sydney based artist Lang Leav uses pastels and pixels to weave the enchanting world of Akina. Since it's inception in 2005, the illustration based fashion label has established a cult following worldwide. In 2005, Akina was selected as winner of the Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards judged by industry heavyweights such as Peter Morrissey. Later, the label went on to inspire a documentary that aired internationally on ABC television in 2006. As well as critical acclaim, Akina has achieved commercial success, being sold through key boutiques in Australia and Japan.
